YAY! You’ve found my hand lettering tutorial for beginner creatives to learn calligraphy. I’ve modeled this entire PDF off of my very own handwriting and I hope it truly helps others either learn calligraphy or find a new passion in hand lettering. Of course this is just a script version and there are SO many other styles of hand lettering to explore. I hope to bring more to you soon.
Hand lettering can be scary can’t it? I struggled so much in the beginning of my artistic career and didn’t know where or how to start practicing. I finally realized that focusing on my own handwriting was key - seems so obvious now. My hope is that beginning artists can use this free Procreate practice guide to understand how each letter is formed. Then go out there and start trying it out in your own hand writing.
Maybe your writing has more swoops, maybe it’s more curled on the ends, maybe it’s more condensed or elongated. There’s no wrong answer here and every persons writing is special and beautiful!
